Aug 27-28, 2070 . . . St. Ignace to Petoskey, Michigan

Around the point from St. Ignace and under the Mackinac Bridge. We left Lake Huron and entered Lake Michigan.

Petoskey was a quaint town with a nice general store and had many selections, from food to hardware.

The marina was quiet with only a few sport-fishermen leaving in the early mornings. Michigan has committed a substantial amount of money to improving and making their small town water fronts attractive and inviting. Two nights in Petoskey where we met up again with LUCKY STAR and GREAT ESCAPE.

Bob and Jan Christensen from Arvada, Colorado, and their vessel LUCKY STAR.

GREAT ESCAPE, Teresa Barrett and Donald Miller. Both retired Navy. Don from submarines and Charlie from Destroyers . . . much talk about sea time.
