Preparations for the Down East Loop, which will commence the end of April. SONATA has been placed in the lift by Bonnie, and hauled out by Steve Grasser, the Service Manager of Ocean Marine Yacht Center. The bottom was checked and all found ready for the trip. The journey will take SONATA up the Chesapeake Bay to the C & D Canal, the Delaware Bay, New Jersey, New York City, the Hudson River, Erie Canal, Oswego Canal, Lake Ontario, the Thousand Islands, in the St. Lawrence River; outbound the St. Lawrence to Montreal, Quebec, and out to the Atlantic. South to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia (Halifax), then the New England Coast from Maine back to New York City through the Long Island Sound. Then home..... Will try to update the blog in a more timely manner. Stay tuned!!
